We are seeking a skilled and organized Employee Dining Room (EDR) Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the dining facility that provides meals for approximately 60 staff members in a remote national park setting. The EDR Supervisor is responsible for managing food service, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring a positive dining experience for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the daily setup, service, and cleanup of the Employee Dining Room.
Ensure that food is served on time, at the appropriate temperature, and in an appealing manner.
Monitor food inventory levels, coordinating with managers in placing orders or communicating needs to the kitchen team.
Lead and supervise EDR staff, including scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal service and resolve any service issues.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff.
Respond to staff feedback about meal quality, variety, and dietary needs, and communicate these concerns to the kitchen team.
Act as a liaison between employees and the food service team to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Adhere to and enforce food safety and sanitation regulations.
Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs promptly.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and cleaning supplies.
Administrative Duties:
• Maintain records of meal counts, inventory, and employee feedback.
Assist in budget management by monitoring waste and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Participate in planning and implementing improvements to the EDR program.
Requirements:
• Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
Food safety certification required
Ability to work independently with limited supervision required
