Job Overview
The Food Service Director role at Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas is a dynamic position that requires a strong leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage services. This includes managing front-of-house and back-of-house functions, overseeing budgets and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain efficient systems for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving food and related products.
- Manage all food and beverage operational functions, including budgeting, forecasting, expenses, and supplies.
- Ensure high-quality sanitation and safety levels in respective areas and coordinate unit personnel regarding production, merchandising, quality, and cost control.
- Conduct period inventory and perform other functions such as maintaining records to comply with ARAMARK, government, and accrediting agency standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Foods and Nutrition, or a related field.
- A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, customers, and support staff.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Knowledge of fine food, wine, and spirits, as well as marketing, merchandising, and all areas of Front of House and Culinary.
