Caf Team Members are eligible for a staging program, which relates to applicable pay based on experience and performance. See the requirements for stages I, II, and III below.

Status : Seasonal Hourly (Non-Exempt)

As a Caf Team Member at A-Basin, you are the face of our caf-style restaurants and will help to create a welcoming, clean, and friendly environment. You will assist guests with F&B purchases with a helpful and positive attitude through the use of a POS system.

Essential Responsibilities :

Assist all guests in a timely and efficient manner with F&B purchases via the POS system and cash-handling skills

Help create a welcoming and fun environment for our Guests and Employees in a Caf setting.

Maintain clean guest areas including cafs, dining rooms, and restrooms

Remove dirty dishes from dish / trash stations to the dish pit and stock clean utensils and cups for guest use

Set up and tear down of cafes for Breakfast and / or lunch service working as a team to complete daily and weekly checklists with other Caf staff

Learn and share information about A-Basin to guide our guests to the best experience while they are in our dining establishments

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience Requirements :

Must complete busser training

Must complete cash-handling / IG training

Must complete guest-service training

Skills Required : (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Basic math and counting skills for reconciling a cash register

Strong verbal communication skills

Strong multitasking and time-management skills

Physical Requirements :

Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times

Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift

Ability to navigate stairs occasionally

Ability to use full range of body motion : bend, twist, kneel, push, pull

Other Requirements :

Must be available on weekends and holidays

Work Environment :

You will work almost 100% of the time indoors in a high-altitude environment. Some outside work in a cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area in view of guests. A very frequent amount of high-volume guest interaction is involved in this role. Riding a chairlift may be required for certain work locations.

Caf Team Member Staging Program : Caf Team Members are eligible for a staging program, which relates to applicable pay based on experience and performance. See the requirements for stages II and III below :

Caf Team Member I : See the pay and requirements above

Caf Team Member II : Starting Pay : $20.50 per hour

Fulfills all stage I responsibilities and requirements in addition to the following :

Assist in training stage I Caf Team Members on tasks including

Work dinners at BML and at the 6th Alley

2 months of previous guest service experience

2 months of previous cash-handling experience

Complete the "Train the Trainer" internal F&B training session

Successful demonstration of all additional Stage II responsibilities

Caf Team Member III : Starting Pay : $21.00 per hour

Fulfills all stage I-II responsibilities and requirements in addition to the following :

Be trained to perform the closing duties of the caf such as cash drops

Use supervisor access in the POS system to issue refunds, process comps, and help troubleshoot errors

Help train stage I and stage II Caf Team Members

Cross-training in other F&B locations

3 months of previous guest service experience

3 months of previous cash-handling experience

TIPS certification

Complete "Empowerment Training" internal F&B training session which includes : enforcing F&B Policy, leadership, positive work environment

Salary : $20 - $21
