We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Duraflake team. The ideal candidate will lead by example, working with others to ensure area goals, action plans, standards and guidelines are set, implemented, and followed up on as required. This role participates in weekend on-call coverage for the mill, prioritizing maintenance requests, and is responsible for timelines and budgets for plant outages and down days.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Conduct effective meetings, coach technicians and direct reports, involve teams in decision-making processes, succession planning for areas of ownership, and provide daily leadership and organization to the maintenance team.
Personnel Development: Assess business needs, develop personal development plans, establish clear expectations for maintenance employees, and ensure accountability.
Facility Support: Review and manage safety work orders to ensure completion in order of priority, participate in down day and shut down meetings, manage PM/PdM systems to optimize equipment reliability, and responsible for all deferred maintenance projects, both timeline and budget
Safety: Responsible for the ensuring safe behaviors in the Maintenance department and implementation of safety improvements
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, including direct leadership of people
Experience in leading people in a variety of maintenance activities
Experience managing multiple projects and key business metrics
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation processes
Demonstrated ability to manage capital and deferred projects, both timelines and budget
Demonstrated ability to establish relationships to enhance mill wide initiatives
