What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician/Forklift Operator position at Arauco?
Role Overview
We are seeking an Operator to join our team at Bennettsville.
This position is on a rotating 12-hour Dupont schedule with a 4-week cycle of day and night shifts, including a full week off each month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor product quality and communicate concerns with team members for effective resolution
- Complete rolling stock operator safety checklist sheets at the start of each shift and use downtime for housekeeping duties to prevent hazards
- Operate a 12k forklift to remove large units of panelboard from the production line and warehouse
- Set-up and operate bander computer and ticket printer while constantly monitoring equipment and process
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery
- Must lift 50 lbs and walk/stand for a minimum of 12 hours, including walking up and down stairs
- Prior experience with a forklift (12 months) and prior work in a manufacturing environment are preferred
