What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aid Station Lead - Colorado position at Aravaipa?
Aravaipa is hiring an Aid Station Lead who is based in Colorado Springs for our Colorado Division. Aravaipa is an event management company specializing in endurance running and mountain biking events.
It takes a strong team to setup a safe, professional, and well-organized event for our participants. This division will host 15 events in 2025 from the month of April through November. Our Aid Station team takes great pride in providing the highest level of nutrition and hydration options to help the runners / riders get to the finish line. It takes a strong team to setup a safe, professional and well-organized event for our participants.
The Aid Station Lead completes the whole process of planning, shopping, packing, setting up and implementing all food and drink options at the races. They provide knowledge and support in caring for these athletes. When the race is complete, Aid Station Lead's pack up the aid station bins. Following the event, they clean and put away all items in preparation for the next race. Leadership qualities are necessary for this role as you’ll be managing many different volunteers and crew members at each race.

- Weekend's and nighttime availability
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy bins and equipment
Aravaipa Aid Station Lead's are responsible for the following:
- Work closely with the race director or Aid Station Director in planning menus for races
- Creating staff schedules & ensure aid station staffing is acceptable for each event
- Curate and update spreadsheets on food inventories each race (pre & post)
- Contact volunteers at aid stations in advance of race day for any pertinent information
- Shop for food and supplies
- Shop for perishable foods and ice
- Pack aid station bins
- Pack ice chests with food
- Prepare food for the race
- Set up aid stations at the race site
- Work the aid station
- Pack up the aid station
- Clean and inventory all items when everything returns to the warehouse
You will be working with our Aid Station Director and Race Director’s to help coordinate Aravaipa resources in the production of the aid stations at each race.
Salary : $17 - $18
