This position will be located onsite in the Chicago Corporate Office in West Loop.
Summary:
The Corporate Accounting Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities. This position is responsible for processing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. The Corporate Accounting Specialist will work closely with both CEOs of Arbor lodging to support efficient financial operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including recording daily transactions, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheets monthly.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow analysis.
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Support intercompany transactions, management fees, and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Maintain financial data in accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
Qualifications:
- QuickBooks experience is required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or a related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
- Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
