We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, repair, and safety of the organization's facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with repairs of building systems, equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Patch and paint walls, repair doors, framing and replace fixtures as needed.
- Assemble and disassemble furniture and equipment.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance on systems and equipment.
- Inspect and replace air filters, belts, and lubricate moving parts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure the facility meets health and safety regulations.
- Identify and report potential hazards or violations.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces.
- Grounds & Exterior Maintenance:
- Perform basic landscaping duties (mowing, trimming, etc.).
- Keep parking lots and walkways free of debris.
- Concrete/Paver maintenance.
- Equipment & Inventory Management:
- Use and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Monitor and restock maintenance supplies.
- Keep accurate records of materials used.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- HVAC certification
- Forklift operation license
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks.
- Comfortable working in varying conditions (indoors, outdoors, and in confined spaces).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Monday – Friday 7am 5pm
- All locations as needed: Hilton Head Island, Ridgeland, and Coosawhatchie. Company vehicle will be provided for travel between different locations/companies.
