Job Overview:
We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Union Foreperson to lead our crew in the field, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional quality on every job site. As a Foreperson, you’ll take charge of both hands-on tasks and team leadership, helping guide and train crew members as they grow their skills. Whether it’s operating machinery, clearing vegetation, coordinating with customers, or conducting safety checks, this role keeps you engaged and on the move. Key Responsibilities:

Perform essential vegetation management tasks, including:
- Operating chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment for tree clearing, bucking, and limbing.
- Setting up job sites, managing debris clean-up, and ensuring traffic control.
- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

Lead and develop your crew:
- Manage job sites and provide training to crew members to ensure safety and efficient work.
- Take responsibility for crew safety, equipment management, and maintaining high standards.
- Complete necessary paperwork, communicate effectively with customers, and maintain safety and quality alignment with ArborWorks’ standards.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical labor for a full workday.
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL a plus).
- DOT Medical Examiner Certificate (Form MCSA-5876)

Essential certifications and experience:
- Completion of Groundperson Training and Aerial Rescue Training.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Minimum of 12 months of line clearance
- Completion of Tree Feller Training and equipment proficiency certifications.
- Successful completion of the Foreperson assessment with a score of 70% or higher.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to training and developing crew members.
- Proficiency in safe rigging practices, equipment inspections, and climbing or bucket operations (based on crew needs).
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination.
