The Director of Procurement Operations reports to the Board of Managers of the Ohio Provider Management Services Organization and is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the MSO. The MSO is a for-profit entity formed by the member organizations to provide administrative support and back-office functions, including group purchasing, employee benefits, IT services, utilities, liability insurance, vehicle purchase and maintenance and other efficiency-improving services for the member entities. The Director of Procurement Operations plays a key role in achieving cost savings for the member organizations and ensures smooth operational execution and goal attainment.

- Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, with the ability to flex the work schedule on evenings, weekends and holidays as needed to complete assigned duties and meet the operational needs of the organization.
- This position is office-based and requires frequent travel to member organizations and vendors throughout Ohio, and out-of-state travel as needed.
Duties:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the MSO, ensuring alignment with the organizational goals, business model, and cost-saving objectives. Coordinate with the CEOs of the member organizations to ensure smooth governance and decision-making processes. Supervise leased employees from member organizations, ensuring compliance with MSO’s operational goals.
- Financial Management: Lead the MSO’s efforts to deliver on cost savings in key operational areas, including, but not limited to, group purchasing, employee benefits, IT services, utilities, liability insurance, and vehicle purchase and maintenance. Develop and manage the MSO's budget, ensuring expenditures are in line with projected savings and operational goals.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing on behalf of the MSO’s member organizations. Monitor contract performance and ensure that agreements are adhered to by all parties.
- Strategic Development: Work with the Board of Managers to develop long-term strategic plans for the MSO’s growth and sustainability. Evaluate industry trends and emerging opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the MSO operates in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders on MSO activities, including savings generated, cost management efforts, and overall performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between the MSO and the member organizations. Foster strong working relationships with the CEOs of the member organizations and other key stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the MSO’s operations and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with the Board of Managers to develop risk management strategies that safeguard the financial and operational integrity of the MSO.
