- Be responsible for the plant wide food quality and food safety programs.
- Oversee daily training, direction, and development of QC Technicians, ensuring compliance with quality policies and safety programs or Oversight of Quality Food Safety program supported by an SQF Practitioner/ QA Supervisor and technicians
- Assume responsibilities of SQF Practitioner in their absence.
- Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with production management team to maximize reliability and mitigate costs.
- Oversees inspection activities for production throughout production cycle.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Investigate, develop, and implement root cause analyses for quality and food safety issues

- Demonstrated ability to communicate, coach and mentor, embracing a learning and development team-based environment, regardless of role.
- Self-starter with strong prioritization and finishing skills; comfort in change as a state of being.
- Bachelor’s degree in food sciences, chemistry, Microbiology, engineering, manufacturing or related field.
- Minimum 5 years quality control experience in a food and/or beverage processing environment.
- HACCP and PCQI Certification required.
- SQF certification required.
- Better Process Control School certification required
- Experience with GMP associated with the production of food and beverage industry.
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize while maintaining high levels of organization productivity and versatility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to prioritize work expectations in fast paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a factory environment with exposure to various temperatures and noise levels.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
