SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of the Assisted Living (AL) Executive Director is to maintain the excellent reputation of the community, prepare for and execute excellent state annual surveys, maintain a clean and visually appealing community, maintain the safety and welfare of all tenants of the facility, establish and maintain great relations with all referral sources, and oversee the entire community team in accordance with the facility's established policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and the directions of your supervisors
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary purpose of the Assisted Living (AL) Executive Director is to maintain the excellent reputation of the community, prepare for and execute excellent state annual surveys, maintain a clean and visually appealing community, maintain the safety and welfare of all tenants of the facility, establish and maintain great relations with all referral sources, and oversee the entire community team in accordance with the facility's established policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and the directions of your supervisors
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination and supervision of all tenant care
- Coordination of all new admissions, discharges, and inquiries.
- Work with the community Wellness Director and/or nursing staff to ensure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained.
- Oversight, supervision, and coordination of maintaining compliance with IDPH and other regulatory agencies including local Health Department, OSHA, etc.
- Oversight of staff communication concerning tenant needs.
- Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment or supplies.
- Oversight and supervision of staff for nutritional planning and meal preparation.
- Oversight of sanitation for community and staff education on proper food handling
- Hire and train new and existing staff.
- Maintain staffing records.
- Maintain appropriate staffing of facility taking into consideration acuity of tenants.
- Implementation of staff discipline as needed with HR guidance.
- Identification, development, and implementation of in-service education for All-staff meetings.
- Immediately addressing all hazardous conditions or equipment, initiating interventions or repairs as needed.
- Report all accidents/incidents to the Director of Clinical Services and Operations.
- Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and honor his/her personal and property rights.
- Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of the facility and equipment for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
