Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- One year of experience or training in the medical/pharmacy field
- One year of experience in customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies
Job Summary:
Discover a rewarding career at ARcare. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented EHR Pharmacy Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will monitor prescription refill requests to ensure safe and appropriate dosing, frequency, and term of medications. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records for patient information, resolving any questions or complaints, and ensuring that all EHR pharmacy operations are carried out with precision and efficiency. You will also support other team members as needed and assist in maintaining a high production rate, especially during high-volume times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review prescription refill requests for accuracy and completeness.
- Become familiar with medication names, both brand and generic, and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide backup support for other team members during high-demand periods.
- Enter and maintain accurate patient information in multiple medical applications (e.g., Greenway Intergy, PioneerRx).
- Communicate effectively with department leadership regarding problems or potential issues.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Adhere to HIPAA laws, company policies, and procedures at all times.
- Be open to flexible work schedules as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
