Located on the white sandy beaches of the Andros Island, a Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Atlantic Undersea Test & Evaluation Center (AUTEC) is Arcata's newest partnership. AUTEC provides research, development, test and evaluation, engineering, analysis, and assessment, and fleet support capabilities for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive undersea weapon systems, and stewards existing and emerging technologies in support of undersea warfare for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport.
Job Summary:
Arcata Associates is seeking a Security Pass & ID Specialist in Andros Island, Bahamas to work as part of a close-knit team, as well as independently, to accomplish a range of functions as you support AUTEC. As a member of the team, you will:
- Responsible for generating and issuing identification badges for NUWCDETAUTEC, registration of vehicles, vessels, weapons, and pets. Manages visit data for personnel assigned to or visiting NUWCDETAUTEC. Also responsible for the operation of the Common Access Card (CAC) equipment for the creation of CACs for the AUTEC Project.
- Photographs personnel, uses badging software/hardware to produce badges.
- Issues CAC and PIN resets as needed.
- Verifies identity and issues badges to NUWCDETAUTEC official visitors and personal guests.
- Interfaces with Physical Security, Industrial Security, Range User Coordinator, PM and/or Travel Coordinator to ensure accuracy of and modify as required business visitor (Range User) badges.
- Produces daily/weekly visitor lists.
- Maintains local Security databases; manages visit data in DoD visit database (JPAS).
- Registers vehicles, weapons, and vessels.
- Registers pets owned by NUWCDETAUTEC ASD personnel.
- Accurately produces and prints regularly scheduled reports.
- Provides professional customer service to external and internal customers.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S government security clearance.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Five years' experience working in administrative or security environment.
- JPAS, LENEL and CAC experience preferred.
- Must be competent with Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment and standard photography equipment.
- Must be detail oriented to verify and maintain high level of accuracy.
- Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds.
- Self-starter capable of managing own time to generate optimum desired results.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
- A valid US Passport and Driver's License is required.
