Job Description

Job Title : Advanced Practice Provider - Family Medicine

Job Specialty : Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day - 8x5, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM

Guaranteed Hours : Not specified

Experience : Advanced Practice Clinicians with 3 years of experience in a similar setting

License :

Physician Assistants : CA Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate
Nurse Practitioners : Furnishing License with Schedules II

Certifications :

BLS required

Active DEA needed before the start

Must-Have :

Candidates must account for all gaps in employment with details including month and date in their CV.

Schedule includes a mix of pediatric and adult patients.

Must see a minimum of 18 patients per day.

Chart closure required within 72 hours.

Job Description :

Manage patient encounters, averaging 18 per shift.

Provide care for a mix of pediatric and adult patients, including some chronic pain management.

Work will be conducted Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

Credentialing process takes approximately 30-60 days; six weeks is standard for Locum Tenens who submit applications / documents promptly.

The facility requires a decision on candidates typically within 7-14 days.

Orientation hours are not specified.

Required immunizations for credentialing include flu vaccine, TB status / x-ray results (within 90 days before the start date), and positive titers or complete immunization series for MMR, Hep B, Varicella Zoster, and recent Tdap within the last 10 years.

Agreement to a 30-day notice for ending all assignments.

Board certification is mandatory for physicians.

Note : This position does not require ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, or PALS certifications. The facility has a trauma level of 0, and there is no designated number of beds in the department.
