DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will develop and maintain effective technology and lead projects to optimize process and product capabilities, improve quality, productivity and cost (yield) within the highly automated Steelmaking unit to meet the business goals of AM / NS Calvert.
The Basics :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a major / focus of study in Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field(s)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field
- Background in major steel mill processes and products with in-depth knowledge of Steelmaking (Casting, Melting, Refining, Refractory) processes and technology
- Understanding off heat and mass transfer, combustion, chemical reactions, and equilibrium (chemistry and chemical engineering fundamentals), metallurgy of steels, etc.
- Demonstrated understanding of control systems, instrumentation, process models.
