Responsibilities
Arcfield is seeking a Senior Network engineer. The key responsibilities are listed below.
Key Responsibilities :
- Designs, implements, and maintains the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless networks
- Configures and manages network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN devices
- Implements network security measures including access controls, intrusion detection / prevention, and encryption
- Monitors network performance and troubleshoots issues to maintain high availability and reliability
- Oversees the deployment of new network technologies and upgrades to existing infrastructure
- Develops and documents network architecture, standards, and best practices
- Provides technical leadership and mentoring to junior network engineers and IT support staff
- Collaborates with other IT teams (systems, security, infrastructure) to ensure seamless integration
- Maintains thorough knowledge of network protocols, topologies, and emerging networking trends
- Researches, tests, and recommends new network hardware, software, and services
- Assists with capacity planning, budgeting, and vendor management for network projects
- Ensures network documentation, diagrams, and knowledge base are up-to-date
- Participates in on-call rotation and responds to after-hours network emergencies
- Occasional travel (10-20%)
