Summary
- Responsible for packaging and shipping of all products from the factory to our suppliers and customers by performing the following duties.
- Oversee the daily operations of the shipping, receiving, and laser department
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including tracking numbers and delivery dates
- Assign tasks to shipping, receiving, and laser staff to ensure proper workload distribution and timely completion of shipments
- Supervisory duties: training, evaluating, and discipline of shipping, receiving, and laser staff
- Operational planning: developing and implementing procedures and processes with the management team for more efficient shipping and receiving goods Addressing customer and vendor concerns regarding shipping and receiving deliveries
- Create purchase orders, receive purchase orders, scan job cards, route material to the next operation
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to incoming shipments.
- Process customer orders accurately, including picking, packing, and labeling.
- Schedule outbound shipments with carriers, coordinating pick-up times and delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of shipments to meet shipping regulations
- Review and ensure paperwork is complete and accurate
Ensure parts are packaged safely and neatly organized
- Prepare shipping documentation using our computer systems
- Maintain appropriate levels of all shipping supplies
- Accurately complete all required paperwork
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times
- Abide by and support all safety and quality system requirements
- Promote and live company culture.

Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
