Executive Summary
Archbishop Moeller is an all-male, Catholic high school (grades 9-12) located in Cincinnati, OH. Founded by the Marianist order of Priests and Brothers, Moeller is a Catholic high school in the Marianist tradition. Moeller strives to educate all students, regardless of ability, in Mind, Body, and Spirit within a Community of Brothers. Moeller is nationally recognized for their House System and continues to be a leader in the integration of technology, celebrating over 20 years as a one-to-one tablet school. Moeller offers a comprehensive, college preparatory curriculum which includes over 30 Advanced Placement/College Credit Plus courses, as well as courses in visual and performing arts, world language, business, and information technology.
In fall 2024, Moeller opened its two-story interdisciplinary Innovation Hub, an expansive facility that will serve as the cornerstone for innovative curriculum, providing hands-on and authentic learning experiences. This will be home to multi-disciplinary classes in STEAM fields, as well as business/entrepreneurship. A hallmark of the Innovation Hub is the new “Multimedia Recording Studio”, a dynamic space with a control room, podcasting equipment, video production equipment, and set ups for a news desk and interview couches.
Moeller is seeking a full-time Multimedia Production Teacher to join our dedicated and collaborative faculty. Starting in August 2025, the successful candidate will teach courses in broadcasting, podcasting, and video production while also playing a key role in developing and supporting school-wide media initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital media, storytelling, and production techniques, as well as the ability to engage and inspire students in hands-on, real-world media projects. Beyond the classroom, this role will help expand Moeller’s media presence by supporting live event coverage, student-driven media content, and school-wide initiatives, such as sports broadcasts, theatre and band performances, and other campus events.
Selected Duties
- Teach 3 courses in media production, including video production, broadcasting, and podcasting, fostering student creativity and technical skills. This course load will be supplemented by regular evening / weekend events (averaging 1-2 school events per week) wherein this teacher will support student recording and production of those events.
- Develop and oversee student-led media projects that align with Moeller’s mission and values.
- Provide technical and creative leadership for school-wide media initiatives and serve as primary point of contact for the Multimedia Recording Studio. Partner with other teachers and staff to integrate use of studio capabilities into other courses and projects.
- Manage and maintain media production equipment, ensuring students have access to industry-standard tools.
- Design and offer media-related co-curricular activities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the curriculum and media initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (Master’s preferred) and will be willing to meet the requirements for Ohio teaching license eligibility.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of and experience with current best-practice in project-based learning and multimedia production education. Ideal candidates will have classroom teaching experience, be a lifelong learner, and possess a comprehensive understanding of best practices for educating adolescent boys.
- Particular consideration will be given to those candidates with industry insights and connections to facilitate client—informed, real-world projects, professional networking, and potential speakers.
- Ideal candidates will be dynamic, personable, energetic individuals who work well with high school students and their families and will be able to help foster the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. Compensation, Benefits and Hiring
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position is full-time; contract is effective August 1.
