Administrative Director of Lab
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates comprehensive management of laboratory operations
Regulatory Issues and Compliance
Financial Management
Demonstrates adequate Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) management
Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control
Laboratory Accounts Management and Marketing
The ability to work independently and to be highly self-motivated
Demonstration of exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills
Must possess an in-depth understanding of Laboratory Information Systems and their functions
Must have extensive knowledge of capital and operations budgeting processes; financial management of laboratory operations
Must have extensive knowledge of regulatory agencies and compliance, including but not limited to: OSHA, GDHR, CAP, AABB, JCAHO, CMS, OIG
Must fully understand the laboratory coding and billing processes; third party payor requirements, reimbursement and general revenue management processes.
Compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures
Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry required
Graduate degree in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred
Certification as a Medical Technologist by ASCP, NCA, AMT, ISCLT or the equivalent required
Certification must be maintained as current during employment at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
A minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
