Patient Access Supervisor - Archbold Mitchell Hospital
Position Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervision, training and scheduling of patient access staff
Train patient access staff on any changes in the registration process
Attend all patient access supervisor meetings and ensure that patient access staff attend necessary training events
Order and maintain an appropriate level of supplies
Responsible for maintaining cash receipt spreadsheets for all physician offices and the patient access staff and for all bank deposits for the hospital and physician offices
Responsible for assuring all Soarian work lists are worked daily
Monitor all outpatient, emergency room, inpatient and clinic registrations to ensure quality assurance criteria are met
Maintain and report PI projects on a quarterly basis
Responsible for making sure all pre-certs are obtained and documented properly
Responsible for assisting in activities within the business office functions as assigned by the business office manager
Required Experience/Education
High school diploma or GED preferred
2 years of experience in an office or hospital setting where scheduling and secretarial duties are utilized are required
Expertise needed in public relations, telephone skills, effective written and oral communication, records management, and use of office equipment
