Physicist- Radiation Oncology
Description:
Maintain physics excellence
Physics support duties
Maintains QA data on patient records and Radiation Oncology equipment
Maintains current knowledge in the field of medical physics
Ongoing training:
Maintains current knowledge in the field of medical physics
Meets the requirements for Maintenance of Certification for the American Board of Radiology certification by obtaining appropriate continuing education through a combination of meetings and other sources
Attends tumor boards and other internal meetings, completes annual Healthstream education requirements, and actively participates in annual physics peer review process as a means to obtain additional professional education
Extensive experience with Varian Trilogy and True Beam accelerator systems, Eclipse TPS, Aria EMR, and Nucletron HDR is required
Experience with Varian RPM, Identify, and Gated Treatment Delivery is preferred
A strong commitment to the highest clinical standards is essential
Experience with Gamma Knife planning and delivery is desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment is required
Education/Experience:
MS or PhD degree in Medical Physics or related field
Board Certified by American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics
A minimum of five years experience in the field of Clinical Radiation Oncology Medical Physics
Must meet QMP requirements for a radioactive materials license
