Faith Formation Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as the Catholic Youth Ministry Coordinator. This role will focus on developing and implementing youth ministry programs, providing leadership and support to peer ministers and catechists, and collaborating with the parish community to foster a culture of faith formation and discipleship making.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Design and implement comprehensive youth ministry programs, including retreats, prayer and worship services, social issues and service projects, and community-building activities.
2. Recruit, train, and supervise peer ministers and catechists, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively minister to children and youth.
3. Collaborate with the Pastor, Pastoral Associate, and pastoral staff to identify emerging youth and young adult ministry needs, develop strategies to address these needs, and monitor progress.
4. Maintain accurate records of program participation, outcomes, and evaluations, utilizing this data to inform future program development and improvement.

Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree in Theology, Religious Education, or Youth Ministry, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in ministry or managing a youth program of significant complexity, preferably in a faith-based environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and individuals.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, with ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
