Key Responsibilities
- Organize, catalog, and maintain the library collection, ensuring that it is accessible and relevant to students' needs
- Develop and implement literacy programs, including reading challenges and book discussions, to foster a love of reading among students
- Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning, providing guidance on the effective use of educational technology and digital resources
- Manage the circulation of books and other library materials, ensuring an efficient checkout and return system
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Library Science, or a related field
- A valid teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary) issued by the Michigan Department of Ed.
- Experience in STEM learning and a willingness to continuously enrich their teaching expertise through engagement in professional development opportunities
