Responsibilities
- Manage the school library collection, including cataloging and maintaining resources
- Support students in developing critical thinking and research skills through engaging story times, book discussions, and literacy initiatives
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate traditional and contemporary information sources and technologies into classroom learning
- Maintain inventory and conduct periodic audits of library materials
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Library Science, or a related field
- A valid teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary) issued by the Michigan Department of Ed.
- Experience in STEM learning and a willingness to continuously enrich their teaching expertise through engagement in professional development opportunities
- A commitment to completing the Protecting God's Children training
