Fiat Classical Academy is a private Catholic high school located in Aurora, Indiana, close to Cincinnati, Ohio. We will be entering our second year as a school and therefore we are adding our 10th grade curriculum. We are looking for a part-time (or full-time, if the candidate can teach other courses) Latin Teacher to join our committed team. The position is teaching Latin I and Latin II.
Candidates: Ideal candidates are passionate, creative, dedicated, disciplined and knowledgeable. They should have a desire to be an ongoing student, both in content and classical pedagogy. Teachers should desire a collaborative relationship with other faculty members, including regular conversations and communal gatherings with one another.
Applicants: We are seeking applicants who are practicing Catholics, who love the Faith, and are willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium whose lives are a witness to students, families and the surrounding community.
Requirements: A bachelor's degree in related field of study (or work experience in that field). Teaching experience would be preferred but not required. Training in classical pedagogy will be given to all new faculty.
