The Mary Mother of the Church Pastoral Center, located in St. Francis, is the main office for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The archdiocese covers 10 counties in Southeast Wisconsin and includes almost 200 parishes and over 100 Catholic schools.
We are seeking an Office and Events Coordinator to serve as the primary connection for external communications such as social media, website content, and all correspondence on behalf of the World Mission Ministries.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all events to promote the ministry of WMM online and in-person. Provide additional assistance to the Director and other staff as needed.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning: venue selection, catering, entertainment, content, logistics.
- Manage event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote the organization's mission, programs, and impact.
- Prepare appropriate collateral materials for display of distribution as needed.
- Recruit and coordinate event staff and volunteers.
- Manage mailing lists, coordinate publication and printing of appeal.
- Coordinate all communication and administrative needs of the office including applications, registrations, feedback surveys, and email updates with appropriate constituents.
- Assist with preparation of mission experiences
- Communicate information about trips, program, et. through appropriate communication modes, webpage, email.
- Support preparation for presentations, events using appropriate resources: PowerPoint, Canva, Publisher, etc.
Requirements:
- College degree preferred or 3-5 years related experience in Communications, Event Planning, or Social Media Strategy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Vimeo and Dropbox, Raiser's Edge and other Data base management etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team when needed.
- Strong organizational skills, Intercultural communication skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and confidentiality.
- Spanish literacy/communication is a plus but not required.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to drive and have a valid Driver's License.
- Practicing Catholic is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
The position is a full-time (40 hours per week), salaried position working in-person at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Pastoral Center. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee provides a full scope of employment benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flextime, Catholic school tuition assistance for children of employees, 403b retirement plan, and a pension program. Occasional weekend and evening assignments and some travel is required.
