Position Responsibilities
- *Cover language services assignment as needed assigned by immediate supervisor.
- *Convert statements from one language to another during meetings, conferences, and other events.
- *Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials. Ensure meaning and context are maintained.
- *Consult with subject matter experts and other colleagues to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately.
- *Provide clients with clear, concise, and accurate translations in written or spoken format.
- Note cultural differences and nuances that could impact translations and interpretations.
- Facilitate communication between parties who speak different languages.
- Remain up-to-date with changes in both languages to ensure accuracy.
- Adhere to rules, policies, practices, and procedures related to the provision of interpreter services.
- Coordinate with ITS manager regarding any language services assignment.
- Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner
- Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.

- Other duties as assigned by the RRS Associate Senior Director.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education/Experience
- Associate or Certificate degree in a translation/interpretation or business-related field is preferred, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a translation related field, with at least one year of experience in business administration and/or human resources experience.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Interpreter License preferred.
- Minimum of one years’ experience in translation and interpretation field.
- Extensive working knowledge of file documentation and Record keeping.
- Experience with computer software and Microsoft office, E-mail and Internet (i.e., Microsoft software preferred and PDF).
- A solid grasp of Non-profit Organization and Time Management.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must able to work in a culturally sensitive way with people of various backgrounds.
- Must able to maintain appropriate ethical boundaries and professional client relationships.
- Must be sensitive to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Must Have Clean Driving records
- Computer applications such as word processing software, spreadsheets, databases, and data management systems.
- Principles, practices, and techniques used in project planning, management, training, and program evaluation.
- Work with interpreters and/or with people needing accommodation.
- Analyze and interpret data and compile written reports.
- Interpret and apply rules and instructions.
- Analyze policy or procedural problems, recommend, and implement solutions.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Work effectively in a team environment and independently with limited supervision.
- Train others individually or in large groups on ITS.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.
