Job Description:
The Catholic Education Specialist will fulfill the mission of the Archdiocese of San Antonio by guiding, inspiring, and educating students in a loving, Christ-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Serves as a role model for students and supports the mission of Catholic education.
- Develops and implements lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's curriculum program.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid, appropriate state certificate.
- Demonstrated competency in the subject assigned area(s).
- Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
