Position Responsibilities
- Greet and assist parishioners, visitors, and staff with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain the church's calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and correspondence.
- Maintain and update parish records, including membership and sacramental records, ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with preparation of church bulletins, newsletters, and other communications.
- Provide support for sacramental preparation programs, including documentation and scheduling.
- Manage office supplies and ensure the office is well-stocked and organized.
- Collaborate with clergy and other staff to support parish events and initiatives.
- Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic Church in all interactions and tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Applications;
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Office job at parish
- Must be able to remain in a stationery position 80% of the time.
- Operates a computer and other office machinery such as copy machine, fax/printer.
- Occasional lifting 10-20 pounds.
- Physical use of telephone.
