Job Summary
St. Matthias Preschool, a high quality, full-time, year-round preschool, in the Archdiocese of San
Francisco, is seeking a Preschool Teacher who can passionately support children's early learning.
This position is with children ages 3-5 years of age. If you are skilled with working with preschool
aged children and interested in a team-teaching experience that supports helping children prepare
for Kindergarten Readiness, please consider applying.
This full time position is year-round, all day from 8 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pm, Monday - Friday. This position
reports directly to the Preschool Director and performs the teaching duties for the preschool with
limited supervision.
St Matthias Preschool is a place where learning is a joint venture between children and teachers and
where learning happens in the context of childhood. We provide children with many experiences and
materials to express and represent their thinking, including age appropriate faith formation learning
opportunities.
Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Job Functions
The Preschool Teacher will be expected to support classrooms and teachers serving three, four
and five-year-olds.
Job duties include but are not limited to :
- Collaborate and support teaching teams.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with children, staff and parents.
- Support and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping
students solve developmental, behavioral and academic goals.
