Responsibilities
- Assisting with Classroom Management: Helping to maintain a positive and organized classroom environment by ensuring that students are engaged and following routines. They may assist in monitoring behavior, guiding children through activities, and helping them stay on task.
- Supporting Individual Children: Aides often work one-on-one or in small groups with children who may need extra help with tasks, such as learning letters, numbers, or social skills. This support can also extend to children with special needs.
- Preparing Materials: Preschool aides may help set up and clean up activities, prepare classroom supplies, and ensure the space is ready for lessons. This could include arranging classroom materials, setting up craft stations, or organizing toys.
- Assisting with Lessons: While the lead teacher typically handles lesson planning and teaching, aides often assist in executing the lesson plan. They might help demonstrate activities, lead small groups, or provide additional support during instruction.
- Supervising Children: Teacher’s aides are responsible for supervising children during transitions, outdoor play, lunch, or nap time. Ensuring children's safety and well-being during these periods is a critical responsibility.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: At a minimum, you need to have completed high school or earned a GED.
- Good understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and other staff members.
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Problem-solving and mediation skills
Salary : $20 - $25
