Full Time 1st grade Teacher for 2024-2025 School Year

St. Joseph School, located in Chehalis, WA, has an opening for a full-time 1st grade teacher. This position seeks candidates with experience teaching at the elementary and/or middle school level. Specific grade level teaching assignment for the 24-25 school year is dependent upon the successful candidate’s previous teaching experience and the needs of the school.
The position begins with the opening of the academic school year 2024-2025 and is benefit eligible.
The successful candidate
Salary: $37,500-$62,500
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

- Has a strong background in teaching a variety of academic subjects and can effectively teach the standards as defined by Washington State, the Common Core, and the Archdiocese of Seattle.
- Is faith-filled and is committed to the mission and ministry of Catholic education and uses the teachings of Christ in creating a supportive environment for children and families.
- Uses a variety of instructional strategies, assessments and technologies to meet the diverse needs of each student.
- Can effectively communicate with an active parent community.
- Is willing to add value to the school community using their gifts and talents outside the classroom.
- Has a desire to continue professional development.
- Have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience (preferred)
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree and a valid teaching certificate
- Catholic candidate preferred
