Responsibilities
- Ability to build a Finance & Accounting Department and provide excellent leadership to the team. Oversee all aspects and functions of the department’s daily operations
- Manage payroll, ensure compliance with all tax requirements; manage cash flow
- Communicate professionally, kindly
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; ability to build unity and trust
- Willingness to learn a business, an industry, and the tools in order to analyze, forecast and advise business owners/leadership
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Manage the month-end close process
- Create best processes and drive continuous improvement
- Manage and monitor financial controls and overall risk management
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to assess company’s performance
- Experience in international business and ability to set up international satellite offices. Experience with foreign currency, banking, wires
- Experience in Cash Management / Travel & Expense; setting up policies and procedures based on best practice
Requirements
- 10 years in Finance or Accounting leading a team; or in a CPA firm
- Experience in Controller role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree preferred
- Highly skilled in Excel
- Strong experience and proficiency in finance applications: QuickBooks, Bill.com, Oracle NetSuite. High level proficiency in NetSuite required, with understanding of software integrations
- Professional attitude, communication, and work ethic
- CPA preferred but not required
