Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and maintaining the general ledger. This role is crucial for supporting our financial operations and providing insights into our financial health. The Bookkeeper will work closely with other departments to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording all transactions in the accounting system.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy between ledgers and bank statements.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as needed.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in bookkeeping practices.
• Utilize accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.
• Support month-end close processes by preparing necessary documentation.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Oakland, or similar platforms.
• Strong Understanding in agriculture products
• Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with financial software tools that enhance bookkeeping processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data accurately.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
• Previous work within a Cooperative finance department a plus
