Position Summary:
ADM is seeking a Procurement Operations Superintendent to manage the drying, storage and handling of peanut farmer stock and Coordination/Receiving of farmer stock for the shelling plant at its Golden Peanut Dawson, GA location. The Operations Superintendent is responsible for safe operations, high quality storage and handling, efficiency and productivity improvements, and developing a high performance team. This position reports to the Procurement Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safe and sustainable peanut storage and handling for the operations.
- Coordination/Receiving of farmer stock for the shelling plant
- Expected to set a model safety example by following and enforcing all safety practices, including looking for, reporting, and correcting safety hazards and poor practices during daily rounds of the location.
- Develops a high-performance team through coaching, mentoring, and developing hourly colleagues.
- Plans, organizes, and manages personnel, operational schedules, and other resources.
- Develops and continuously improves operating procedures, manages the document control system for the location, and develops training content for hourly colleagues.
- Ensures the quality level of peanuts and are maintained at an appropriate and acceptable level.
- Maintains the warehouses, grounds, and equipment at an optimal level through maintenance best practices.
- Develops and tracks key performance indicators for the location.
- Researches, develops and executes projects to improve operations including safety, quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and reliability.
- Partners with commercial colleagues to ensure growers' needs are understood and met.
- Assist the commercial team in crop reporting.
- Represents ADM and Golden Peanut in the local community.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or agricultural field is preferred.
- Minimum of two years bulk material/agriculture handling experience required.
- Requires a strong sense of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- The physical requirements of the job require the ability to climb stairs, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, computer work, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, and working adjusted hours.
