Key Responsibilities:
- System Operation:
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical feeders.
- Adjust and control process variables such as flow rates, chemical dosages, and equipment settings to maintain optimal performance.
- Monitoring and Testing:
- Perform routine tests on wastewater samples to monitor parameters.
- Record and analyze test results to ensure compliance.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and failures promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of operational data, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.
- Prepare and submit reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities to the Maintenance Manager.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or contamination incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with industry standards, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in wastewater treatment/maintenance or a related field is advantageous. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to treatment processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to [50] pounds.
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor settings.

- Full-time position with weekend and on-call duties.
