We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to drive growth and enhance customer relationships within the Marine and Defense sectors. This role involves identifying new leads and opportunities, leveraging data and market insights, and managing customer relationships to expand the customer base.
Job Details
- Salary Range: $100,000–$125,000 annually, plus commission.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 50%.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with flexibility to reside near locations in New Orleans, LA (Gulf Coast Region), Seattle, WA (Puget Sound), or Fort Lauderdale, FL (Southeast Region).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue leads using internal data, external research, social media, networking, and cold calling.
- Customer Relationship Management: Foster existing customer relationships and reengage previous clients to understand and meet their needs.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze market trends, sales data, and customer feedback to improve sales strategies and engagement.
- Quotation Management: Facilitate the transition from initial inquiries to quotations, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
- Customer Profiles: Maintain accurate and comprehensive customer information to tailor services effectively.
- NPS Improvement: Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and address feedback.
- Technical Support Coordination: Provide technical analysis and collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong technical product knowledge, including familiarity with parts, systems, and their applications.
- Proactive and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate trends and customer needs.
- Proven ability to engage customers, build relationships, and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and follow-up skills.
- Deep understanding of industry dynamics and market positioning.
Education and Experience Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the marine industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in a sales or business development role.
