Summary
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Engineer is seeking an exceptional General Engineer or Architect to support the project development lifecycle through the renewal, renovation, and maintenance of some of the Nation’s most treasured assets. The selectee will serve as a Program Manager, providing expertise, coordination, direction, and oversight of major feasibility studies, design and construction projects.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Specialized experience: is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-14 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position must demonstrate the following: Providing leadership and administrative direction for project and program activities, staff, and resources, including costs, design and contractor performance. Providing oversight, management and coordination of project development, design and construction program activities for a large organization. Communicating project/program information effectively to a full range of internal and external individuals or groups (e.g., congressional members and staff, congressional committees, stakeholders, industry leaders, and representatives of other Federal agencies). Serving as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or equivalent for design and construction projects.
