As the company continues to grow, we are currently seeking a Deck Laborer to join our team in Palmerton, PA. The Deck Laborer will be responsible for prepping and pouring QC-approved molds.

JOB Duties
- Use AP approved procedures and techniques to prepare molds, pour rubber, scrape excess rubber from plywood, and return clean mixing buckets
- Retrieve and prepare the approved plywood for rubber pour after verifying with Deck Lead or Quality Control
- Gather materials required to pour mold, including scraper, screws, steel, etc.
- If molds require plywood, properly insert and secure fasteners to the deck
- If molds do not require plywood, properly screed rubber to level
- If molds require two layers with cloth, properly insert cloth into the 1st layer upon approval by Quality Control
- Under the direction of the Deck Lead and the approval by Quality Control, use AP approved procedures to properly de-mold liners
- Following AP approved procedures, properly transport and store freshly-pulled liners in area designated by Deck Lead or Production Supervisor
- Return all tools, supplies and removed steel to designated areas
- When directed by Production Supervisor, assist Carpenters with the removal of molds and prepping the deck for installation of new molds
- Maintain all work areas in clean and safe condition, especially at end of shift
- Immediately advise the Deck Lead of any hazardous condition
- Follow all schedules provided by AP Production Supervisor, AP Production Manager & Scheduler
- Perform all work in a safe manner; use required safety equipment including, but not limited to, guards, shields, eye protection, steel toes, etc.
- Continuously strive to improve efficiency in the work area and the facility at large and be willing to participate in shop meetings (OSHA, safety, production and benefits) and training programs sponsored by the company
- Maintain a positive work attitude and cooperate with fellow employees
Physical Demands
- Heavy (exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination
- The ability to safely use industrial machinery and power tools
- Repeated bending and twisting
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent apprenticeship
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Valid and insurable PA driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows or willingness to learn

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
