Summary of Position: Packager is responsible for wrapping material in plastic wrap, foam, or polymask to ensure keeping them safe from damage during shipment. Material is then placed in skids or on pallets.

Summary of Position: Packager is responsible for wrapping material in plastic wrap, foam, or polymask to ensure keeping them safe from damage during shipment. Material is then placed in skids or on pallets.
Essential Duties
- Stage Cart (Product) for packaging- pushing carts of material to the Packaging table area
- Package material according to packaging label. The label lists the type of packaging method for the material (i.e. box, bundle, cradle)
- Plastic must be interwoven between pieces of material for protection
- Run material through the RoboPak
- Band bundles of material using plastic banding, if necessary for that job
- Cut wood blocks to size of bundle
- Change rolls on RoboPak machine
- Polymask, crate or skid customer material per customer specific Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Verify customer sales order/job packet information (quantity, description, and ship to address)
- Use small hand tools to make crates
- Operate forklift to move material and crates
- Understanding and use of PLM system for material location
- Verify customer order number while packaging material
- Verify counts and correct dies
- Apply Lean principles in own work performance and drive Lean applications in company operations
- Other Duties as assigned
- Flex into other areas as needed
- Basic computer skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Basic math and reading skills required
- Frequent exposure to noise from RoboPak and chop saws
