AutoCAD Drafter

Position: AutoCADDrafter
Experience in CAD)

Location: Fresno, CA
Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Monday – Friday (7:00 am – 3:30 pm)

Key responsibilities of a CAD drafter:

• Gathering project information: Collecting design specifications, notes, and data from architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Creating 2D and 3D drawings: Utilizing CAD software to draft precise plans, elevations, sections, and detailed components, including annotations and labeling.
• Dimensioning and scaling: Accurately measuring and annotating drawings to ensure proper scaling and compliance with project requirements.
• Material specification: Indicating the types of materials needed for construction on drawings.
• Design modifications: Making revisions to drawings based on feedback from engineers and architects.
• Checking for errors: Reviewing drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with building codes.
• Collaboration: Working closely with project teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into drawings.
• Documentation: Maintaining project files, including drawing revisions and related documents.

Required skills for a CAD drafter:

• Proficiency in CAD software: Expertise in industry-standard CAD programs like AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
• Technical drawing skills: Understanding of drafting principles, including orthographic projection, isometric views, and section detailing.
• Attention to detail: Ability to precisely measure, annotate, and maintain consistency across drawings.
• Math skills: Strong understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and basic calculations
• Problem-solving abilities: Identifying and resolving design issues during the drafting process
• Communication skills: Effectively communicating with designers, engineers, and other project team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
