What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Architerra Homes?
Job Summary:
The Superintendent is responsible for leading all phases of the project while ensuring their direct/indirect reports are apprised of project status and the jobs are managed effectively and efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for all phases including underground, framing/rough in mechanical, interior/exterior finishes, and final/trim out.
· Follows all necessary regulations.
· Orders supplies, tools, and equipment for the project team.
· Ensures projects are aligned with agreed-upon plans.
· Manages Construction Assistant for production if applicable.
· Develops and adheres to project timeline and quality control plan.
· Collaborates with architects, designers, and other team members throughout Architerra.
· Submits any testing and inspection logs, quality assurance reports, and punch lists.
· Ensures all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations and safety precautions are adhered to.
· Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progress.
· Schedules and coordinates Subcontractors and their activities.
· Interprets and communicates contractual requirements appropriately.
· Responds to and manages work delays, emergencies, and other problems that arise on the project.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
· Extremely detail-oriented.
· Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
· Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
· Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
· Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree/Certificate in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
· At least four years of experience in building trade required.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
