Summary of Position:
The Warehousing and Transport Specialist is responsible for managing daily operations related to routing shipments, shipment tracking, updating rates, and reconciling. This role ensures compliant handling, cost optimization, reliable service, and avoids delays in the process. The specialist will maintain communication with internal partners such as CSD/OF, WH, Export Desk, and other local/regional sites to ensure service level requirements are met and Archroma has optimal service at competitive freight costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Perform daily operations including routing shipments, shipment tracking, updating rates, and reconciling.
- Internal Coordination: Maintain contact with internal partners for daily organizational processes.
- Performance Tracking: Track POD performance, create and resolve QNS.
- Service Alignment: Ensure communication within other local/regional sites for internal service alignment.
- Service Level Management: Follow up on service levels and lead times according to business and market situations. Ensure alignment with Freight Procurement deviations from service agreements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Experience in Transportation and Warehousing required

- Flexibility: Ability to work after normal business hours when required.

- Logistics, Warehousing, Traffic, or other supply chain functions.
Scope of Role:
- Combination of local and regional responsibilities.
Business Relations:
- Logistic Suppliers: Daily interactions to exchange basic information.
- External Partners: Daily interactions with transportation providers such as LTL, FTL, Bulk Tanker, Railroad, FedEx.
- Internal Departments: Daily interactions with other departments within ISC/Business Units.
- 3rd Party Warehouses: Daily interactions to ensure smooth operations.
- Internal Partners: Daily interactions with CSR, Planning, Sales, PS, and warehouse teams.
Major Challenges:
- Daily Operations: Organizing daily business processes in accordance with internal and external providers to deliver expected service results.
- Creativity: Utilizing creativity to meet customer requirements and adhere to contracted service level agreements.
- Technical Competencies: Applying technical competencies to avoid business problems, manage providers, negotiate, and handle logistics and traffic modes and regulations.
