JOB SUMMARY:
Performs customer service in the operation of the County landfill transfer station including receiving the public, collecting money, monitoring waste, directing traffic, opening and closing gates at designated times, and maintaining a clean and orderly transfer station,

Receives and directs public utilizing the transfer station and recycling facilities. Determines fees, Collects money, directs traffic, and monitors waste. Complete reports of daily deposits of funds collected.
Ensures that refuse dumped at the transfer station complies with County rules and policies related to the landfill operations. Identifies hazardous waste and advises public on recommended proper disposal
Maintains a log of all customers making use of the transfer station.
Practices and promotes safe working conditions in the performance of duties.
Provides coverage for recycling tasks as needed.
Maintains a clean and orderly transfer station.
Operates roll off truck to move or swap out roll off containers for both recycling and transfer operations.
