General Purpose
The basic function of the Fuel and Lube Technician is to change engine oil and lubricate running
gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks or heavy equipment, replace oil, air and fuel filters
on motor vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment. Fuel & Lube Technicians will be in frequent
contact with fluids for the vehicles such as windshield washer, coolant, and oil.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Grease booms, pulleys, buckets and other components of heavy equipment
2. Provide on-site services
3. Lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks or heavy equipment
4. Be alert to risks or threats in order to prevent losses before they occur
5. Give proper care to the operation and maintenance of the vehicles
6. Exceptional interpersonal skills
7. Must be dependable and reliable
8. Report all damage of the equipment to the Team Leader
9. Pressure washer and steam truck operation;
10. Perform housekeeping functions;
11. Maintain a cooperative working relationship with customers and other employees;
12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
13. Fill out daily Service Reports
14. Must do SOS sampling per oil change
Essential Job Functions
1. Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, reach, pull and lift.
2. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
3. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
4. Agility and strength to climb on and off truck using 3-points of contact.
5. Ability to work outside and in all weather conditions.
6. Ability to work with fuel, dust, lubricants and solvents.
7. Requires climbing to heights of 15 ft.
8. Exposed to noise (>85dB).
9. Dexterous use of both hands and feet.
Preferred Qualifications
1. High School diploma or GED preferred.
2. Basic math at high school or equivalent level is required.
Position Requirements
1. Able to understand written and verbal instructions and listen attentively.
2. Valid Class A license with Hazmat endorsement.
3. Clearly describe conditions
4. Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
5. Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures with the intent to maintain a safe working environment. Report all safety incidents, accidents or injuries to supervisor immediately.
6. Participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings.
7. Ability to complete assigned tasks, work independently, and possess strong verbal communication skills.
8. Must understand and comply with Personal Protective Equipment requirements for work area.
