Arcis Golf is seeking a talented and experienced Sales Director to oversee Private Event and Wedding sales for Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona!
Primary Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for the Sales and Service of Private Events and Weddings at Ocotillo Golf Club
- Manages, coaches, and develops sales manager/s and is responsible for the team’s overall performance and daily sales activities
- Manage prospect database and pipeline including detailed notes and organization utilizing CRM system
- Schedule sales calls and business development activities to grow the pipeline with qualified leads and execute sales strategies through timely follow-up and activities that produce high closing rates
- Conduct tours of the club to qualified potential clients, coordinating with other departments to create customized experiences that increase sales
- Work closely with clients to fully understand their event vision, preferences, and requirements, including venue layout, catering, décor, entertainment, and additional services.
- Create comprehensive event plans or BEOs that cover all logistical aspects, including timelines, vendor coordination, staffing needs, and technical requirements.
- Ensure every event detail is thoroughly documented and communicated with relevant teams to ensure flawless execution, from arrival times to post-event breakdown and everything in between.
- Establish a client base of organizations, associations, social and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales efforts
- Responsible for the development and execution of prospecting and marketing plans for the private event product line for the club
- Represent the club at trade shows and other public forums
- Drive lead generation through cold-calling and outside business development
- Negotiate function space and food & beverage prices ensuring confirmation and requirements in writing are shared with the client and affected departments
- Accurately forecasts revenues and tracks bookings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 7-10 Years in Wedding, Private Event, or Hospitality sales experience preferred
- 3 Years in leading high-performing sales teams to exceed targets
- Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new business
- Strong prioritization, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to utilize CRM and funnel management tools and apply them consistently to forecast business, manage customer opportunities, build opportunity pipeline, and make business decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sets high goals and continuously strives for excellence
- Effectively illustrates a compelling point of view and moves others to action
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University preferred
