Who we are looking for:

 

We are currently seeking talent for a System Administrator job to support the entire organization. This role will be hybrid out of our Alpharetta, GA headquarters. Reporting into the IT Infrastructure Manager, this role will align with and support the business on a corporate level by providing reliable, responsive, and proactive technology support based on Arclin IT standards. Primary responsibilities will include serving as the primary contact for the service desk, managing asset inventory, coordinating tech refreshes, performing system imaging, and overseeing software installation. Additionally, this position will work with Active Directory, Windows, and Linux servers.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the service desk, providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
  • Manage and maintain accurate asset inventory records, ensuring proper tracking, documentation, and compliance with asset management policies.
  • Coordinate and execute tech refresh initiatives, ensuring the timely replacement and upgrade of hardware and software components.
  • Perform system imaging tasks, including the creation and deployment of standardized system images across various devices.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of software applications on workstations.
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, including system configuration, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of system and network issues, implementing appropriate troubleshooting steps and escalation procedures when necessary.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues and end-users, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in on-call after hours support rotation.

 

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain hands-on experience working with Active Directory, Windows, and Linux servers, providing you with valuable exposure to enterprise-level systems and infrastructure.
  • Administer and optimize Windows and Linux server environments, acquiring valuable experience in system administration and performance tuning.
  • Engage in troubleshooting complex system and network issues, further developing your problem-solving and analytical skills.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in IT related field with technical certifications preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a systems administration or IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and security principles.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Familiarity with asset management practices and methodologies.
  • Experience with system imaging and software deployment tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
