Arcosa, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Applications – Business Systems Analyst in our Dallas, TX headquarters. Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Applications, the Analyst will be responsible for key focus areas of Needs/Requirements Discovery and Articulation, Technology Management, and Developer and Business Relationship Management and Communication. The Analyst will work to understand business requirements and implement appropriate solutions. This individual will be a part of the Enterprise Applications team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Needs Discovery
• Identify a desired future state that addresses a business problem. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Drives consensus for a desired future state that meets the business problem and enterprise objectives and identify enterprise-wide opportunities for solution leverage
• Manage requirements to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing business objectives and understands business process complexity
• Influences business partner requirements in support of enterprise objectives
• Creating Compelling Business Cases to measure and communicate proposed project benefits
• Providing Accurate Project Effort Estimates with ability to quantify project resource requirements by recognizes the implications of business strategy changes and effectively engages project stakeholders in the estimation process
Technology Management
• Create solutions that advance enterprise architectural objectives including an understanding of the dependencies between the layers of the technology stack including compute, data, transactional and analytics.
• Guide solutions options and business partner decision making to minimize the amount of project investment divergence from target architecture
• Identify opportunities for creating reusable enterprise services and guide/manage interactions with technology vendors
• Design solutions for end-user adoption and productivity improvement and identify the requirements to ensure end-to-end service performance from the end user’s perspective
• Guide solution development through its complete lifecycle including Agile/Scrum methods
Relationship Management and Communication
• Communicate effectively across multiple constituencies to support project and organizational change objectives
• Effectively engages key knowledge workers and business sponsors in change management activities
• Engage business sponsors and contribute to their targeted business outcomes and influence business partner decision making to optimize requirements prioritization
• Build long-term relationships between multiple business partners to drive engagement in IT strategy
• Engage developers to ensure productivity and solution quality and educates developers on a project’s business context and effectively collaborates with geographically distributed teams
• Additional duties as assigned by leadership
Desired Skills and Qualifications
• MBA preferred or 8 years equivalent experience for a Sr. Analyst, 4 years for a solution analyst and 2 years for a business analyst
• Software requirements development methods including agile user stories creation
• Manufacturing industry experience, with knowledge of one or more of the core process domains of planning/scheduling, master data, production, shop floor control, inventory management, distribution and logistics, warehouse management, order acquisition, product lifecycle management, finance and accounting, services delivery, enterprise asset management, HR, EH&S
• Solution development expertise in one or more ERP applications such as Oracle, NetSuite, IFS, UKG, and Salesforce
• Business process design experience and track record of promoting process improvement
• Previous Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Development Processes (waterfall, agile, iterative) experience. Hands-on solution design and implementation through production support and/or retirement. Large scale systems deployment experience a plus.
• Business case/benefits case development expertise
• Demonstrated expertise leading a solution development effort including typical project management tasks
• Previous experience as a sprint development team member
• Maintains currency in emerging industry and process best practices and technology enablers
• Understanding of and experience with organizational change implications
• Demonstrated Cross Functional Teamwork and Collaboration
• Understanding of Software Maintenance Lifecycle
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Effective Written Communication and Presentation Skills
• Business consulting experience is desirable with a recognized management consultancy
• Familiar with Change Management and Incident Management processes
