About the Role
The Safety Development Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety strategies, programs, and training initiatives across the organization. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of safety excellence.
- Develop and implement evidence-based safety strategies, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver safety-related training programs, including new hire orientation and competency-based training.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and compliance data.
- Assist in updating and revising organizational policies and procedures to reflect changing regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of transparency and open communication to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in EHS training, auditing, and compliance.
- Fluency in Spanish required; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
